Scope of Course:
This course offers a comprehensive review of the shoulder anatomy including boney structures, muscles and joints. Participants will review shoulder kinesiology, dynamic and static stability and palpation. Evaluation of the shoulder will focus on observation, end feel, strength, range of motion, pain, sensation and standardized testing measures. Treatment options will be offered to address therapeutic exercises, pain management and physical agent modalities. Target audience is PT, PTA, OT, COTA.
Learning Objectives: Upon completion of this seminar, participants will be
able to:
1. Describe the primary anatomy of the shoulder complex 2. Discuss the kinesiology of the shoulder 3. Evaluate patients with shoulder dysfunction 4. Identify treatment needs of example patients and state treatment ideas 5. Describe appropriate billing and documentation practices for our provision of care
